Within the II International Black Sea Economic Forum (October 7-8, Yalta), the Western Crimea Development Project will be presented. That was discussed at the first meeting of the Forum organizing committee.
According to the preliminary program, at the first day of the Forum it is planned to discuss issues of interregional relations, global macro-economic forecasts, development priorities of the Black Sea countries and a business climate in the region.
The second day will be devoted to discussing a role of international organizations in developing the Black Sea countries, a market of recreation and tourism and prospects for expansion of a holiday season in the Black Sea countries, formation of agricultural sector of the XXI century and competitiveness among the Black Sea regions.
It is scheduled to sign agreements on cooperation between a number of regions of Ukraine and other countries within the Forum.
An exhibition will be opened during the Forum at the Livadia Palace. The first part of the exhibition, which will be located in front of the palace, will present projects on development of the Western Crimea, Yalta port and "Simferopol" airport. The hotels Kempinski, Radisson and «Golden Beach" are expected to participate in the exhibition.
The second part of the exhibition, which will be located in the Italian courtyard, will show the government's work on Crimea development. The stands will display information on the Strategy for development of Crimea until 2020, about the Agency for Regional Development of the AR Crimea and the state program "Environmentally friendly Crimea". Moreover, the courtyard will place monitors to display movies about Crimea, the first International Black Sea Economic Forum and some specific investment projects.
About 1,000 invitations to members of the Black Sea governments, various structures of the European Union, to representatives of business and investors were sent within preparation to the Forum. Participation of representatives from 20 countries worldwide is expected. For today, three official delegations from Georgia, Turkey and Bulgaria have already confirmed their arrival. Also the Forum will be attended by the Ukrainian government and leaders from all regions of Ukraine.
As the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the AR Crimea - Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Ekaterina Yurchenko noted, this year's Forum will raise to a new level.
"Crimea and the Black Sea Economic Forum in particular, have become a platform where serious economists and world-renowned speakers come to discuss world affairs", - said E. Yurchenko.
