Presentation of the investment map of Crimea

On September 5, the interactive Investment map of Crimea was presented at the Agency for Regional Development of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Within the presentation, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the ARC - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the ARC - Ekaterina Yurchenko reported that this software was created in accordance with the Strategy for economic and social development of the ARC until 2020 year for broad informing of investors about Crimea. The data for maps was provided by the National Academy of Environmental Protection and Resort Development. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of autonomy was engaged in the map development.

The map contains 37 information layers, which show data on population of Crimea, its infrastructure, facilities, land available for sale at auctions, investment projects and sectoral clusters (agriculture, tourism, transport, energy, industry, etc.). The map allows viewing different types of data simultaneously. Information on the map will be continually updated and supplemented.

"Investment Map is a modern mechanism to inform investors about the potential and opportunities of Crimea in general, by regions and by development priorities of Crimea. We have tried to combine information on all resources that the autonomy has to date in this map", - said E. Yurchenko.

Besides, the vice-premier stressed that the map would be one of the most effective mechanisms to work with investors for the Agency for Regional Development of the ARC.

In addition, during the presentation it was agreed that the EU/UNDP project "Support to the Agency for Regional Development of the ARC" will assist in maintaining English-language version of the map.

The map is available on the investment portal of Crimea at: www.invest-crimea.gov.ua.
