Representatives of the British company Investek expressed their willingness to participate in a number of investment projects on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
In particular, during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the ARC - Minister of Economic Development and Trade Ekaterinaа Yurchenko, Investek executive director for business development Thomas Harrison said the company is interested in projects on developing the port of Yalta and the International airport "Simferopol".
According to him, the competitive advantage of Investek is that it has global partners around the world and it interacts with the largest financial institutions in China. The company will provide Crimea an access to cheap loans from China and will manage the project from their own side. It is also planned to establish a local company in the republic that will provide new jobs for Crimea and will increase tax revenues.
E. Yurchenko, noted that today's meeting is one of the results of the Crimean government work on attracting investment, including a presentation of investment opportunities of the autonomy in London in May.
"The government aims to create such conditions that an investor will come to Crimea. And investors, taking into account environmental requirements and using energy-efficient technologies, will work here for the benefit of themselves and Crimea. We are ready for cooperation", - emphasized E. Yurchenko.
The parties reached an agreement on cooperation on the basis of public-private partnership. In the nearest future it is planned to discuss specific conditions of interaction with wishes of the Crimean Government and the UK experience in implementing projects on that basis.
