The Agency for Regional Development of the ARC establishes cooperation with the regions of Ukraine

Experience in organization and operation of the Agency for Regional Development of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARD) attracts practical interest of the heads of towns and regions of Ukraine. This was reported in the ARD.

In particular, the Agency was visited by the delegation of Dnepropetrovsk City Council. There was also a meeting with representatives of Kharkov Regional State Administration. It was about creating opportunities for agencies for regional development in these regions, models of their creation, work tools and powers.

During the meetings, employees of the agency and the EU/UNDP Project to support the agency provided information about the history of the company, its structure and terms of tasks, powers and forms of interaction with the authorities, as well as representatives of business and business communities of Crimea. They exchanged views on enhancing the investment attractiveness of Ukrainian regions and the possible ways of cooperation.

"We are ready to provide any assistance to our colleagues from the regions. The practice of creating such agencies – is a prerequisite for the development of local economies and social climate in the region. This will help solve one of the objectives of the presidential program to improve the overall investment climate in the country", - said the ARD director Aleksey Starodubov during the meetings.

Currently, employees of the agency provide consultative assistance to Donetsk Regional State Administration in implementation of plans to create a structure similar to the Agency for Regional Development of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
