The company Lufthansa Consulting will design the concept for development of the airport "Simferopol"

The international airport "Simferopol" will attract consulting company Lufthansa Consulting to design the concept for development based on public-private partnership. The relevant cooperation agreement was concluded within the II International Black Sea Economic Forum, which took place in Yalta.

As the executive director of the International airport "Simferopol" Sergei Shapka reported after the signing ceremony, the company Lufthansa Consulting will determine the prospects for the airport development, as well as the investment needed for reconstruction and development of the enterprise.

"First and foremost it is a passenger and freight terminal, it is a repair of a runway, parking, as well as at the next phase – development of infrastructure, shopping and entertainment complexes, port stops and so forth," - said Sergei Shapka. According to him, the foreign partner was selected on the tender basis.

The project manager, senior consultant at the Department of Airports Development of Lufthansa Consulting Moritz Schmidt noted that the international airport "Simferopol" has a considerable potential, and the company will contribute to this project as quickly as possible in the interests of Crimea.
