Crimean delegation headed by Deputy of Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Autonomy Ekaterina Yurchenko took part in the fair of Chinese investment and cooperation «III China Overseas Investment Fair».
Vice-premier explained that the visit of Crimean delegation is a return, which was organized according to the instructions of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich.
Ekaterina Yurchenko in the framework of the fair gave a presentation "Crimea - an investment pearl of the Eastern Europe" and noted that currently the Autonomy is one of the most dynamically developing regions of Ukraine.
"Today we are clearly aware of the modern world's requirements for foreign investors to a particular investment area. Here, among the key principles should be noted macroeconomic and legal stability, potential for business development and, of course, favorable investment climate. And the Crimean government, by-turn, creates the necessary conditions for successful investment activities ", - said Vice-premier.

Ekaterina Yurchenko said that in 2010 Crimea has a growth of gross regional product on the level of 5.8% and pass ahead of European Union, USA, Poland and Russia. Also here is observed an increase in agricultural production, retail trade, passenger traffic, marked the positive dynamics of the monetary and capital markets. In addition, positive changes are observed in the investment field. The Autonomy after Kiev takes second place among the regions of Ukraine on the inflow of foreign capital in the first half-year. And also the amount of received investment was increased in 3 times over the same period of last year.
Totally, on July 1, 2011 one billion U.S. dollars of foreign investment works in the economy of the Republic. The main areas for capital investment in the Crimea are: industry, building sector, transport, hotel and restaurant business.
Deputy Chief of Executive power also informed the participants of the fair that Crimea continues to implement a Strategy of social and economic development until 2020. The Strategy determined the development of the Autonomy in five key priorities - health resort complex, agricultural sector, industry, transport sector and the creation of favorable environment for life.
"Our the main goal is achieving sustainable growth and quality of life for the Crimean people, dynamic economic development and the implementation of the strategic interests of Ukraine in the Black Sea region. The implementation of the priorities of the Crimean Strategy will allow the country in 2020 to become one of the points of the growth in the macro-Black Sea region", - said Ekaterina Yurchenko.
In addition, the deputy head of the Crimean government marked that one of the most important work of the Council of Ministers is to create comfortable environment for business. Thus, in the Autonomy with the support of the EU and the UNDP was established the Agency for regional development. Permissive centers work in all regions of Crimea. Interactive investment map is already developed. It allows investors to get a full description of the investment, economic, social and land potential of the peninsula.
However, Ekaterina Yurchenko added that a number of important investment projects are realized in Crimea. They include development of Western Crimea, the reconstruction of international airport "Simferopol", construction of "Port of Yalta". The project combined-cycle power plant in Shelkino is implemented jointly with the China National Engineering Corporation "Sinomash".

Ekaterina Yurchenko said that Crimea is open for cooperation with Chinese investors. The Autonomy’s government is ready to extend full cooperation to attract investment into the economy of the peninsula from China. At the same time, she said that in the next year the Autonomy intends to propose for Chinese colleagues to organize Crimean-Chinese forum on the territory of the peninsula. "The Government of Crimea clearly understands what they want; Chinese side has understood what we can offer. The next stage will conclude contracts and establish close cooperation between relevant ministries and businesses, "- said Vice-Premier.

By-turn, the director of the Agency for regional development of Crimea Alexey Starodubov during the fair gave a presentation "Crimea for the investor" and presented a number of investment projects that are planned in the Republic. In particular the next projects: development of the Western Crimea; transfer Evpatoria transport capacity sea port to the South Spit of Lake Donuzlav; theme park adventure "Dinolend"; yacht marina; complex "Port of Yalta"; development and reconstruction of international airport "Simferopol". At the same time, the first deputy minister of resorts and tourism of Crimea Alexander Liev gave a presentation "Crimea - a resort for all year round."

In addition, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme Council of Crimea of sanatorium complex and tourism Rustam Temirgaliev, Deputy of Supreme Council of Crimea Yanina Pavlenko and the mayor of Yalta Alexey Boyarchuk took part in forums that were held in Beijing in the fair of investment - "Developing global investment environment and prospects of Chinese investment abroad", "Agricultural development: choosing the right direction", "Foreign financial investments and services".

III China Overseas Investment Fair (COIFair) - Fair of Chinese foreign investment and cooperation, which is a unique opportunity to build links with Chinese corporations and professional platform in China for investment abroad, the determination of financial and technological flows in different countries. Crimean stand was presented in the exhibition and had area of 18 square meters. Stand included a project booklets, printed promotional materials, electronic presentation of the projects in the form of disk-cards, souvenirs.
