First time, in the latest analytic edition «Investment climate in Ukraine: as Seen by Private Businesses», the experts of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) included a section devoted to the development of the agricultural sector and the immediate prospects of attracting investments by enterprises of agro-industrial complex of Ukraine.

 

   Estimation of the prospects for foreign direct investment to the industry’s enterprises is not only based on forecasts of worldwide consumption, but also on specific economic indicators.

 

   Experts focuses on the indicators of profitability of capital investment in agricultural production (25%), which is the highest rate among all major sectors of the economy of Ukraine. In general, investment in increasing productivity, improving management of agricultural business, and the increasing in production capacity are profitable.

 

   The experts noted the perspective directions for foreign direct investment in the agricultural sector: the modernization of production facilities, the use of innovative techniques and technologies, including energy-efficient.
