In 2011, the main part of foreign direct investments attracted to the economy of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was sent into the sphere of industry.
350.7 million USD of foreign direct investment received in last year. 287 million USD or 81.8% of it invested in the industry. At the same time, 99.5% of FDI in industry has been attracted for the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water.
Also in 2011, investors' funds were sent to the transport and communications (22,8 million USD, 6,5%), construction (16,2 million USD, 4,7%) trade (14,1 million USD, 4%), other sectors (10,6 million USD, 3%).
Attracted funds from foreign investors in 2011 didn’t affect significantly for the distribution of investments by industry.

Note. At the beginning of 2012 in the economy of Crimea the total foreign direct investment (FDI) was amounted to 1.17 billion USD. It is up 43% more than at the beginning of 2011. In 2011 the economy of Crimea attracted 350.7 million USD of foreign direct investment. And it exceeds the equivalent figure is 3.6 times for 2010.
