Standard & Poor's increased the credit rating for the Autonomous Republic of CrimeaIn July 5, Credit Rating Service of International Ratings Agency Standard & Poor's increased long-term credit rating for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. It was changed from "B-" to "B" with "stable" estimates. At the same time National Rating Scale was upgraded from "uaBBB" to «uaA-».
The ratings increased due to:
Ratings of the ARC recognizes an opinion of Standard & Poor's about the limited predictability of revenues and overall small financial flexibility of incomes and expenses of the republic budget, a high proportion of intergovernmental transfers and excise payments into the structure of revenues and significant needs in expenses within the framework of underfunded Ukrainian system of intergovernmental relations.
These limitations are compensating by the fact that in the next few years the level of Crimean expenditures for debt servicing and debt repayment will remain low. As a consequence, the Crimea will maintain a relatively high financial indexes and indexces of liquidity.
![]() The "stable" estimate recognizes expectations that the Crimea budget revenues will be increase due to a favorable geographical position of the region and due to growth of tourism sector. By the fact the republic will continue a conservative debt policy, which will show a high costs indicators.
