The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Crimea supports the initiative of Turkey aimed on implementation of strategic projects on territory of the autonomy. It was announced by Svetlana Verba, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, at the meeting with Haji Bairam Bolat, the coordinator of Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), on 19 February, 2013.

 

 

According to Svetlana Verba, the conclusion of the framework agreement of cooperation between two regions will be the impetus for the development of bilateral relations. We are ready to work on this issue and identify the main point of contact for the joint activity with Turkish colleagues, added Svetlana Verba.

 

In turn Haji Bairam Bolat presented results of last year activities of the agency in Crimea and expressed his readiness and willingness to hold such meetings more often.

 

 

TIKA Coordinator in Ukraine also said that Turkish side is interested in expanding the scope of its activities, as well as cultural exchange and cooperation between higher education institutions of Crimea and Turkey. We need to build a bridge of friendship between Ukraine and Turkey, to strengthen our ties in economy, education and culture, said Haji Bairam Bolat.

 

At the end of the meeting Svetlana Verba invited Haji Bairam Bolat to attend the annual Black Sea Economic Forum (October 2013, Yalta) and International Technical Assistance Forum, which is scheduled for May.
