According to the Main Statistics Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea export increased by 31.5% and amounted to 888.8 million USD in 2012. In the same time import amounted to 1435.5 million USD and decreased by 2.1%.
Foreign trade transactions of goods are provided by AR of Crimea with partners from 129 countries of the world.
In the commodity structure of exports the dominated product groups are:
- chemical products and related industries - 38.9% of total exports of goods, including tanning extracts - 25.9%, inorganic chemical products - 12.4%;
- transport - 17.7%;
- mechanical and electrical machinery - 11.9%;
- mineral products - 17.2%.
In 2012 export of vessels increased by 92.9 million USD; ores, slag and ash – by 44.2 million USD; energy materials, petroleum and its processed products - by 28.9 million USD. Grain production increased in 25 million USD, boilers, and machinery – in 18.2 million USD, tanning extracts – in 7.6 million USD.
Vessels got 58.5% in the total volume of import of goods; electrical and mechanical machinery got 15.7%; mineral products - 4.9%; and vegetable products - 3.8%; base metals and its products - 3.5%; polymeric materials and plastics - 2.3%.
Compared with 2011, import of ships increased in 680.9 million USD, aircrafts – in 15 million USD, edible fruits and nuts – in 14.2 million USD, volume of polymeric materials import increased in 7.8 million USD.
