Important information












Trade balance was positive in January 2013

 
According to the General Statistics Department of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea exports of goods increased in the beginning of the year. Compared to the same period of the previous year, export increased by 72% to 71.7 million USD. Imports amounted to 71 million USD, and increased by 89.1%. The trade balance was positive and amounted in 715.3 thousand USD in the reporting period.
 
The Autonomous Republic of Crimea exercised foreign trade transactions of goods with partners from 79 countries.
 
Largest volumes of exports in the reporting period were realized in Belize (23.6% of total exports), Russia (20.9%), Norway (9%), the U.S. (4.9%), Germany and Turkey (4, 7%), the UK (4.6%).
 
In January 2013 the exports volume increased in 8 times to the American countries, 2.7 times - to Asia, 2.5 times - to European countries, 8.9% - in the CIS countries.
 
In the commodity structure of exports are dominated: 
  • production of chemical industry and related industrial sectors – 36.6% of total exports of goods, including tanning extracts – 23.7%, inorganic chemical products – 12.8%;
  • mineral products – 34.1% (of which 21% – oil and petroleum products refining, 12.9% – ores, slag and ash);
  • vessels – 16.8%;
  • mechanical and electrical machinery – 7.1%.
In the reporting period the export of crude oil and products of its distillation increased by 15 million USD; ores, slag and ash – by 5.9 million USD; inorganic chemicals - 2.2 million USD. In the export structure such group of goods as ships (12.0 million U.S. dollars) had been appeared.
 
At the same time, equipment for railway and other roads were exported by 1.5 million USD less; also tanning extracts lost 1.2 million USD, 0.8 million USD less in crops.
 
Regionally, such cities as Simferopol (in 3.6 times), Kerch (in 3 times), Krasnoperekopsk (by 25.2%), Saki (in 9.8 times), Feodosiya (in 2.4 times) showed export increase.
 
The largest share of imports of goods attributable to China – 54.3%, Russia – 12.6%, Turkey – 12.2%, Belarus – 2.7%, Germany – 2.3%, Italy – 1.9%.
 
In the total volume of import in goods (50.7%) falls on the electric cars, 12.3% – on oil and petroleum products refining, 8.7% – on edible fruits and nuts, and 8.0% – for boilers, machinery; alcohol and soft drinks, and ferrous metals got 1.7%.
 
Compared with January 2012, import of electrical machinery increased by 21 million USD, oil and its distillation – in 8.3 million USD, edible fruits and nuts – in 4.2 million USD, boilers, and machinery – in 2.9 million USD. However, ferrous metals were imported by 6.2 million USD less.
 
Regionally, the imports of goods greatly increased in Simferopol (in 8.3 times), Kerch (in 5.5 times), Krasnoperekopsk (by 26.1%), Saki (in 29.5 times), Simferopol rayon (by 9.9 times).
