Export of Crimean goods to the Russian Federation was estimated to 126.7 million USD and increased by 1.7% in first half of 2013 announced Svetlana Verba, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, when Ms. Verba was commenting a six-month external activity report.
As the Minister said, leaders in export are still "Crimean Titan" and "Plant "Phiolent", production and electric equipment of which has always had steady demand. In general, these factories had 41.0% and 27.5% of total export to Russia respectively. Mineral production with 12.7% of total export, and basic metals and its products with 6.0% are in export top-4.
The biggest group of consumer goods within the external trade relationship with Russia is ready-made meals. This group takes 3.0% of import and 5.0% of export to the Russian Federation.
For six month of 2013 Crimea bought paid 3.9 million USD for food from Russia, and got 6.6 million USD for food supply relationships. The biggest part of food trade between Russia and Crimea was alcohol and non-alcohol beverages that took 4.4% of sector export and 3.1% of sector import.
"Moreover, companies sold alcohol and non-alcohol products for more than 34.0 million USD only for a six month of 2013. That is why Russian products have only 10% of total Crimean market and in case of some troubles in supply of Russian beverages would not critically affect local consumers" summed up Ms. Verba.
