Crimea will participate in the third phase of the DESPRO projectToday, September 19, 2013, took place a meeting of Svetlana Verba, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the autonomy, and Oksana Garnets, the Head of the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Decentralization Support in Ukraine".
 On the meeting was discussed the main issues of implementation of the third phase of the DESPRO project in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, preparation and implementation of micro-projects to modernize the utilities and rural water supply in small towns and areas of the autonomy.
According to the project manager of DESPRO in 2013-2014 for the implementation of micro-projects in these areas will be allocated about 7-8 millionUAH. The total budget of the project in Ukraine is 77.28 million Swiss francs.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a list of proposals with the priority objects for the DESPRO project.
The main goal of the DESPRO project is to improve the quality and accessibility of public services to individuals, with the participation of local communities and authorities.
During the implementation of I and II phase of the DESPRO project in Crimea (Bakhchisarayskiy, Leninskiy and Nizhnegorskiy regions) were implemented 22 micro projects with total cost in 6.6 million UAH, contribution of the DESPRO project was over than 3.6 millionhryvnias.
At October 7, 2011 in the framework of the II Black Sea Economic Forum was signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of the ARC and DESPRO project on the implementation of the second phase of the project.
